Spread the Word
January 09, 2009
On January 9, the first Friday of the spring semester, Social Change through Peace Games sponsored Spread the Word, a semester kickoff event designed to raise social awareness and generate interest and excitement for the SCtPG mission. The event consisted of a public viewing of "I Love Hip Hop in Morocco", a feature-length documentary following a determined group of young Moroccan Hip Hop artists who band together to create the country's first Hip Hop Festival. After the documentary, the crowd gathered around the stage in AFTERhours to listen to a live performance by Unconscious Logic, a socially conscious Hip Hop group from Brooklyn, N.Y. The following link opens the NU-TV coverage of the event.
